While she may have first catapulted into pop culture as Euphoria's resident romantic softie Cassie Howard, in real life, Sweeney is a whole lot tougher than her onscreen counterpart.
For starters, not only does she crush it in mixed martial arts (um, incredible), but she's also managed to resist the temptations of soft drinks her entire life. See, we told you she was strong!

Diet: Berries for breakfast
"It changes, but I like to start the day with berries," Sweeney told Bustle of her favourite breakfast. Another go-to when she wants something more filling? "Right now, I’m really into this croissant toast that I eat with cinnamon sugar and honey butter," she revealed. Sounds delicious!
Diet: No sugary drinks
She's pretty strict on the drinks front! "I only drink water. I have never even tried coffee," Sweeney shared in a chat with Bustle. "For whatever reason, when I was like 12, I decided I would only drink water and I just stuck with it. I love water, it’s my thing. I’ve had a Shirley Temple to celebrate, but I feel totally fine with just water."
Exercise: Mixed martial arts
Sweeney likes several different types of workouts, but one of her favourite ways to get her heart rate up is mixed martial arts. “I was the only girl at this dojo, and I wanted to f*ck with all the guys’ [minds]," she told Porter. "So, I got all pink everything: wraps, gloves, mouthguard, everything. Because when you walk into the ring as a girl wearing pink, the guys are like ‘whatever’. But then, when you can kick their ass, it’s the greatest feeling ever."
Exercise: Walking her dog
A lower-impact option she enjoys? Taking her pup Tank out for walks. "I try to take my dog on a walk twice a day. We’ll do a 2-mile walk in the morning and again at night if I can. If I’m feeling really motivated, I’ll run," she explained to Bustle.
Diet: Sugar when she's craving it
She may not like sugary drinks, but Sweeney sure loves sugar! "Don't get me wrong; I eat sugar, so it balances out," she told Bustle. "Instead of coffee, I'll have some Swedish Fish or anything gummy if I'm tired." Lollies aren't her only favourite sweet snack, though. "ice cream is the way to my ❤️ (& cookies)," she once captioned an Instagram snap of herself enjoying an ice cream cone.
Exercise: At-home classes
Sweeney is clearly a 'no excuses' type of woman. Even with her busy schedule, she makes the time and effort to fit in a workout, often opting for at-home video classes. "If I have an hour, I’ll do a workout video at home, like a DOGPOUND one. Sometimes it’s hard if I’m missing equipment, but it’s doable," she told Bustle.
Exercise: Swimming & water sports
If you can turn leisure time into a workout, everyone wins! You're basically being active without even realising you're 'exercising'. That's exactly what happens for Sweeney when she hits the ocean. "I grew up on the water, always running around in a bikini. If I wasn’t swimming in the lake or the ocean, I was skiing or attempting to surf," she shared with ELLE.
