Attention Swifties, Taylor Swift may just be re-entering her Reputation era.

While we all eagerly await the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version), the mastermind may just have hinted at her next release - through her beauty look. With only two albums left to re-record, Swift appears to be channeling her edgy side at her latest appearance at the 2023 VMAs. And considering it’s not giving ‘debut’, we’re making an educated guess that Rep is next on the cards!

Dressed in a full-length black slit dress, she complemented her daring outfit with gold nails, thick black liner and a faux mullet hair style.

Known for her long golden locks, Swift has taken a full beauty 180, opting for a style that screams Look What You Made Me Do. Showcasing her natural wavy texture, her blunt bangs were the centrepiece of the look while long loose tendrils replicated a mullet-like look. The rest of her hair was pulled back into a loose French twist.

Her semi-updo just so happened to show off her contoured cheekbones and fluttery lashes - a far cry from the singer’s day-to-day makeup. While her lip colour was low-key, her eyes really did the talking, framed in a thick black cat eye that brought out her edgy side. Again, it screams Reputation.

Thankfully, the VMAs carpet was not the last time fans caught a glimpse of Swift’s cool new look. Shortly after the awards show kicked off, the musician was already taking home an award for Best Pop Video for Anti-Hero (which also received an award for Best Song). It’s safe to say, in the midst of her Eras Tour, Swift is absolutely thriving. As such, we can’t wait to see more beauty Easter eggs from her.
