Meet the makeup that got Taylor Swift through a 3-hour rain show

Flawless (Taylor's Version)

Editor / May 12 2023

Let’s take a minute to acknowledge how incredibly jealous we are of everyone who got to witness Taylor Swift’s night three show in Nashville. Nobody (and we mean nobody) does a rain show like Swift. Not only do at least a third of her songs feature romantic references to rain (so it just fits), but she never looks quite as majestic as when she’s being doused in shimmering water droplets.

No, literally – she looked flawless the entire night, despite the torrential downpour staying consistent throughout her whole 3-hour performance. Her hair may have been showing the effects of the weather (AKA revealing her glorious natural curls), but her makeup did not move.

So obviously if this kind of long-wearing magical makeup is out there, we need to have it in our lives, right? Right. And luckily, celebrity news bible Deux Moi got a hot tip about exactly which products grace Swift’s face, in Nashville and beyond...

Swift's partnership with Pat McGrath is clearly still going strong; according to Deux Moi's intel, her full face of stage makeup hails from the brand!

For foundation, Swift wears the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation ($110 at Sephora), layered over the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Primer ($73 at Sephora) and topped with a dusting of the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Setting Powder ($63 at Sephora). McGrath's range's  long-wearing claims are evidently extremely accurate! Her base didn't budge.

As for eyes, Swift dons a wash of sparkly shadow courtesy of the Pat McGrath Labs Mothership VII Eyeshadow Palette - Divine Rose ($206 at Sephora), applied beneath her signature cat eye, inked on with the Pat McGrath Labs Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner ($55 at Sephora).

And for the iconic red lip, Swift relies on the comfortable, velvety magic of the Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in ‘Elson 4’ ($55.32 at Revolve). Three hours of singing in the rain, and it stayed in tact? There's never been a better advertisement for a liquid lipstick in the history of the world.
