It takes a lot to get us excited about a product as banal as a body lotion but for some reason we’re hyperventilating over the fact that Augustinus Bader’s celeb-approved offering is FINALLY available in Australia via Net-a-Porter. Introducing: Augustinus Bader The Body Lotion.

Augustinus Bader The Body Lotion

Our enthusiasm about this release isn’t just rooted in the fact that Augustinus Bader products hold serious clout amongst some of the world’s most beautiful people (ahem, Kate Bosworth, Shanina Shaik and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) and professionals alike (Melanie Grant and Pati DuBroff are big fans), but the science behind the stuff is seriously fascinating too.

According to the Net-a-Porter website “the patented TFC8® technology will help trigger cell renewal through a potent combination of vitamins and amino acids” – ooft we like the sound of that.

The formula also contains lots of other familiar skin-loving ingredients like vitamins B5 and E, which “locks in moisture beneath your epidermis, helping to strengthen its barriers and prevent water loss.”

The online boutique will also be the exclusive retailers of the brand’s other new release – The Body Oil

Unlike it’s lightweight lotion counterpart, the oil’s moisturising properties come from a blend of nourishing ingredients like vitamin E, argan oil, olive fruit oil and squalane “that help [to] even tone and promote a smoother appearance.” Layer with the body lotion for an extra boost of hydration or wear alone for a fast-absorbing, long-lasting dose of moisture.

Treat yourself to the latest luxurious additions to the range or perhaps sample one of the brand’s hero products – The Cream and The Rich Cream – now available in a smaller 15ml size.

Lotion isn’t the only body care offering getting a lot of hype lately. Kesha says butt masks are “kinda her thing”.
