In our extremely humble opinion, everyone needs an eyelash curler. A good lash curler is an asset to any makeup routine, whether it's the first step in an extensive 'curl lashes, apply mascara, and finish with falsies' regimen or it's the one thing you do to open up your eyes and freshen your face.
And no, you don't need to live in fear of ending up lash-less; yes, we've seen the horror stories and it's a task you should absolutely give your full focus to, but with reliable handles and gentle curl pads, the latest crop of curlers will (thankfully) leave every lash perfectly in tact.
Perfectly in tact, yes, but far more lifted, elongated and Bambi-like than before. Just what we wanted.
Ready to exit the land of limp lashes? Here are the seven eyelash curlers we'd trust with our beloved lashes' lives...
Chanel Le Recoubre Cils De Chanel Eyelash Curler
Yes, even something as practical as a lash curler can still be incredibly chic, especially when Chanel's involved. The fact that it's also worthy of 'one clamp wonder' status definitely helps, too.
$47 at Myer
Dior Backstage Smooth Eyelash Curler
Created to adapt to an array of eye shapes (with sturdy handles that allow for non-slip grip), this curler is able to grab, lift and shape even the tiniest of lashes without pinching the lid.
$46 at Myer
Tarte Picture Perfect™ Eyelash Curler
If you're after curl and colour in one neat seat, this easy-grip eyelash curler comes with a mini mascara for a combo that'll leave your lashes defined and darkened in mere minutes.
$36 at Sephora
Sephora Collection Eyelash Curler
If Elle Woods were an eyelash curler, we imagine she'd look a lot like this. Luckily though, this tool will bend (AKA curl) but definitely not snap your lashes; its curl pads are super gentle.
$28 at Sephora
Mirenesse iCurl Twin Heated Gold Lash Curler
Keen to give your curl a little extra oomph? Opt for a heated version. Designed to dramatically open up the eye by setting the lifted shape for longer, this one will work wonders on even the shortest, straightest lashes.
$55 at Adore Beauty
Tweezerman Rose Gold Lash Curler
You'll come for the chic rose gold aesthetic, but we promise you'll stay for the crease-proof curl it delivers. Toss your nerves away; the silicone pads are extra thick to ensure there's no room for error in the dreaded 'pulling' department.
$55.62 at Amazon
Shu Uemura S Curler
A curler with both a unique design and a cult following, this guy is designed to allow you to focus your curl on specific areas of the lashline (e.g. outer corners) while also lending itself to a larger variety of eye shapes.
