If you’re all about that #beautylife, but also concerned about the impact of your product consumption on the planet, you’ll be pretty familiar with the growing range of enviro-conscious products that are now on the market.

This year, we’ve seen loads of cool new innovations from beauty brands aiming to reduce their environmental impact, such as Swissper’s paper-stemmed cotton tips, Lush’s ‘naked’ packaging-free skin care collection and too many new biodegradable glitter options to individually name.

Now, a totally new product category of eco-friendly beauty buys is available, and we cannot wait to get on board…

Biodegradable hair accessories!

Bar None has launched a new range of hair accessories that are completely biodegradable and plastic-free. Plus, these nifty products aren’t just better for the environment, they’re actually better for your hair as the soft material won’t damage your strands, they doesn’t break as easily as regular hair ties, and they’re snag-free.

So far, the range includes hair ties and scrunchies that are cleverly made from natural sap from the rubber tree.

But that’s not all - Bar None aren’t just passionate about producing conscious beauty products, they want their stuff to be available at accessible price points. The hair accessories range is priced at just $5 for a pack of hair ties (bargain!) and $6 for scrunchies.

If you’re looking for more environmentally-conscious beauty buys, these are some of the best biodegradable sheet masks.

What do you think of Bar None’s biodegradable hair ties? Have you tried them yet? Let us know in the comments.
