Elucent Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser

This cleanser has become one of my favourites and I have purchased it a couple of times now since I first tried it. I love that it comes in a squeezable tube with a flip top lid but I have noticed when I open the lid that the cleanser does leak into the lid when the bottle sits on it's lid which is a bit of a waste. It comes with a freshness foil seal for hygiene purposes which I love. The consistency of this cleanser is creamy and it's also a creamy colour and it lightly lathers too. My combination skin loves a lathering cleanser. The exfoliating beads in this cleanser are tiny and very gentle. Gentle enough for daily use. The cleanser does have a fragrance but it's very light and smells great. After using this cleanser my skin feels clean, smooth and soft.

When I saw that this was an exfoliating cleanser I was intrigued. I don't like using a lot of exfoliants on my skin as I feel like they are quite harsh but this was very gentle. I like that it contains vitamin C as I feel like this helps with my skin tone and helps me look radiant at times! It comes out of the container easily so I don't feel like I am ever using too much of it, which makes it great value. My partner loves to use a really coarse exfoliant but he has admitted to enjoying using this with the finer grade exfoliant.

This product has 'exfoliating cleanser' on the name but it's actually very gentle. Instead of beads, there is a bit of grittiness that do not have any sharp edges nor are they very solid. It has a creamy texture, milky white in colour, and there is a very fine foam that almost looks like an emulsion with very tiny bubbles if you look for them. It's very comfortable to gently massage your face and it doesn't irritate my eyes. It rinses off leaving my skin feeling clean but not stripped. It's not one for removing a full face of make-up, but it does a good job removing daily face sunscreen. I can safely use this everyday, even on the days my skin is feeling a little sensitive. In terms of ingredients, the surfactants are Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Lauryl Betaine. Glycerin and Sodium Lactate provide hydration and are high up on the list of ingredients. It has niacinamide, a superstar ingredient for brightening and anti-aging, oat kernel extract for soothing properties. There is also Emblica Fruit Extract, a natural source of vitamin C which is an antioxidant. The 'beads' are actually Cellulose Acetate which is of natural origin, so there is no danger here of any presence of polyethylene micro-beads. Since I am already using other brightening products and exfoliants, I can't say that this had additional brightening effects on me. But I will say that since it has a slight exfoliating effect, and that in itself would help with removing dead skin cells and reduce dullness. I do like the creamy texture and how it leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated.

Star rating is difficult for this as I couldn't use it as recommended - I have super sensitive skin and feel that this is too harsh to use except occasionally but I do feel that it is an excellent product. For someone without extremely sensitive skin it could be wonderful. The cleansing grains are very fine and moderately gentle. It is pleasant to use but can rush out of the tube so you have far more than is needed so I found care was needed when squeezing the product out. I feel it is best used in the shower rather than at the basin but that it purely a personal opinion. My skin felt clean but rather tight after using this, much tighter than completely comfortable but after a soothing serum it settled well. Definitely something I would be happy to recommend to anyone with normal skin, care needed if you have very sensitive skin.

The cleanser comes in a 150g tube that stands on its lid. My favourite kind of packaging for when the products are closer to being fully used you can use them to the end with ease and without wastage. Once peeling off the security seal which I also love because I know it hasn’t been tampered with I apply about the size of a pea to my dampened fingertips and then onto my dampened face and neck in light circular motions. The exfoliating cleanser has gentle micro exfoliating beads that so gently help to rid dead skin cells, dirt and impurities on the skin without causing any redness leaving my skin feeling soft, smooth and clean. Gentle enough to use daily, morning and night the cleanser is lightweight and has a lovely light scent. After using this for two weeks now I can safely say this is a new favourite cleanser of mine I actually get excited when it is time to cleanse my face. I will definitely be continuing to use this once I have finished this tube, I also look forward to seeing if of provides any benefit towards my pigmentation and skin tone after further use. Highly recommend!

I can be pretty lazy when it comes to exfoliating so Elucent’s Whitening Exfoliating Cleanser has saved me. I can really see a difference in the appearance of my skin. My skin looks radiant because the tiny exfoliating beads encourage the natural shedding process of skin leaving me with healthier, smoother, more even-toned skin. I would recommend this product.

I love this product for exfoliation. I have tried a few elucent products and really like them, I don’t think this whitens but does leave my skin looking brighter and more youthful and feeling smoother. The consistency of this cleanser is quite thin with micro beads to effectively exfoliate and remove dead skin. It’s easy to use, just cleanse in circular movements and rinse clear. I do need to use a good moisturiser after using this so my skin doesn’t dry out however. There was no scent to this pearly white cleanser so it makes this cleanser great for those with sensitive skin and the packaging is quite nice. It’s quite economical as a little goes a long way. I haven’t noticed a disappearance in age spots but it’s great for exfoliation so I would recommend it

I found out last year that I have an allergy to some cleansers which make my face dry, itchy and flaky around my eyes and eyelids. The problem is that I have very oily skin and creamy cleansers cause me to break out or get milia spots. I was so glad when I tried this and found it did not cause an allergic reaction. As someone else has said, it has quite a thin consistency, with very fine scrubby particles, making it perfect to use every day. I only used this in the morning, and it was gentle enough that I didn't notice any dryness or redness from using it so frequently. It foams up nicely and doesn't have a strong scent. This cleanser really helps keep my skin looking smooth and even, which I put down to its exfoliating properties. I don't think a cleanser can really brighten the skin or help pigmentation with fruit extracts etc, as it doesn't remain on the skin long enough. It would be the scrubby bits that improving the tone. Of course with the scrubby bits, it's not good for around the eyes, so it doesn't take makeup off very well. This cleanser would be perfect to use in the morning (as I do), or after taking your makeup off with an oil/balm cleanser, or micellar water. I also love using this cleanser before a face mask as it ensures that there is no dead skin to block the absorption of hydrating and nourishing ingredients. Love this cleanser for oily or combo skin.  

I bought this after reading about it on a blog and because I have tried other products in the Elucent range. After a few week of use, my tone evened out, skin looked brighter, and I didn't feel that my pores were clogged. It consistently left me feeling moisturized and fresh. I love the pearly white appearance of the cleanser and that only a small amount is required. Its easy to apply and even easier to use. I think the results would be of even greater benefit used in conjunction with the Elucent brightening moisturizing cream.  I am very happy with the overall results of this product and would definitely recommend. 

As I am now what is kindly referred to as mature, and have the odd pigmentation issue I tried this exfoliating cleanser to minimise some of the sun damage I had accumulated but found the product left my skin quite dry and taut which propelled me toward very rich moisturisers to counteract that feeling, Over the couple of months of using the product I did not see any real change in the tone or texture of my skin. I won't be buying it again.

I used this in conjunction with the day moisturiser and the night cream, and while all the products were pleasant to use, I didn't think my skin looked particularly bright after using all of them. This exfoliating cleanser, while gentle, wasn't as gritty as I'd have appreciated. This also had a surprisingly thin consistency. Like the rest of the range, not bad, but not particularly amazing.
