La Roche-Posay Lipikar Huile Lavante AP+ Cleansing Oil

So gentle! And cleans skin so well. Scent is synthetic floral and pleasant nonetheless . Does not stay on the skin. Formula runny and very light. It turns milky in the shower. Does not leave skin oily, but freshly washed and soft. I don't use body lotion after. Does contain SLS, but this does not bother my skin.

This body oil wash was great. Feels super gentle on the skin. I only need one to two squeezes for my whole body. It applies like an oil but on contact with water lathers up slightly into a milky wash but it still feels gentle on my skin. Slight florence fragrance but fades. It leaves my dry body skin soft and smooth. It hydrates my skin and removes any dry patches. It takes away all the itchy skin I have. After each use my skin felt very clean and soft with using this product as well as not dry. I really enjoy this product. It also lasted months even with daily use but I only used a small amount each time. It is an expensive wash but if you have damaged or dry skin it's very helpful.

I'm so happy to see this added to Beauty Crew's product list because it has been an absolute favourite of mine for a few years. I hadn't heard of Lipikar until I received it in a beauty box and was so impressed with the delicate scent and non-drying formula that I have been repurchasing ever since ( and recently picked up a discounted supply at a French pharmacy). La Roche Posay have several ranges for specific skin concerns and this addresses very dry and delicate skin, which is why it is also recommended for babies and children. I particularly like using this as a body wash because it is a fantastic alternative to soap, which can dry out the skin, and it has a lovely fresh scent. I don't really have to use body lotion as a next step (which is a bonus if you're in a hurry or simply feeling lazy!) - it is THAT hydrating. The scent is very subtle - I guess it is Shea butter - and so unlikely to irritate most people. It can also be used as a facial cleanser although I prefer it mainly for the body, as my mature facial skin may need something even more gentle. For many people, however, it works for both face and body, making it a very versatile product and a cinch for paring down a beauty routine while travelling. Lipikar is a real pampering experience. I can't recommend this rich but gentle cleansing oil highly enough.
