Philosophy Purity made simple mineral oil-free cleansing oil for face and eyes

I can't imagine my make up removing routine without some cleansing oil or balm. I have tried quite a few of tchem and philosophy is quite a good one I must say. Yes, it might be quite pricey, but if we consider the amount we have to use each time, it is not that dear. I am not a fan of the bottle as it does not have a pump and it is quite clumsy to use it. What I did, I pour the oil into a different bottle with a pump, so I could forget the unfortunate packaging and enjoy the beauty of the product. The oil is pretty "watery" for what it is, this however makes it incredibly lightweight. I am sure those with combination or oily skins would appreciate its consistency. It has a subtle, relaxing scent to it so when we massage it into our face ( usually in the evening), it can create a soothing atmosphere. It works really well when it comes to removing make up. It does not sting my eyes ( I use it to remove mascara and eyeliner). It is also gentle enough, never irritated my eyes and I wear contact lenses. I had no problem with the product. I must say I did go through it quite quickly though. I might consider repurchasing.

This product was my go to product as a facial cleanser for years. I loved how easy it was to use by simply putting it on in the shower all over my face and washing it off with a flannel. It easily removed my name up and really brought a balance back to my skin in a clean fresh way. It helped to reduce oil. It had a very clean smell. I loved the brands packaging how it talked about what purity is as a word I thought that was rather artistic and creative. Flip top bottle made it easy to use. A white cream that wasn’t too thick and you could squeeze out the perfect amount you needed. I have very sensitive skin and found this product was excellent on my skin.  I would recommend this product as it’s great for all skin types.

This stuff is great at removing eye makeup. I don't use it on my overall face as it does leave a bit of an oily residue. But it's perfect for my eye area! It makes my eyes feel refreshed and clean after a long day or wearing heavy makeup. It gets in between lashes well, removing all traces of mascara and eyeliner. It's an expensive product, but it's definitely worth it for the results you get!

Oh my gosh, where do I start with this product?! If you have never tried anything from Philosophy, you seriously need to. Their products and brand 'philosophy' is one of my favourite to date. I love how simple all their products are, but how effective they work as well. After one use this cleanser instantly became my holy grail cleanser. It was as simple as that. It is a light weight oil that spreads easily over the skin and removes every drop of make up. I take about a 10 cent size piece, you honestly don't need much, and I massage it onto dry skin to just melt away make up, even my stubborn waterproof eye make up. Massage for 30 seconds, rinse off with a warm, wet face washer and away you go! I find massaging this into my skin such a relaxing way to end the day, it's become a daily ritual and something I look forward to come home to. You will be left with the softest, cleanest skin and best of all, it doesn't feel like it's stripping away the skin either. It just simply melts make up off, and leaves your skin feeling amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone with dry skin!

I knew it after the first use of this product that it would be my holy grail oil cleanser for years to come. Firstly, I love the 'philosophy' of the Philosophy brand. It's not just a beauty brand, it is a well-being brand that inspires women to look, live and feel their best. They believe in celebrating beautiful skin, and take personal care from a skin-care point of view, while encouraging the human spirit at the same time. Their values, morals and beliefs are what first attracted me to their brand. I'm not sure where to begin with this product, because I could speak about it forever. Generally, oil cleansers can seem quite thick and heavy for the skin - leaving an oily residue behind, but the Philosophy Oil Cleanser was anything but that. It's unbelievably lightweight for an oil, and glided onto my skin like liquid silk. It spreads so easily over the skin that you only need such a small amount to reach peak effectiveness. Not only that, but there is something therapeutic about massaging this oil into my face - it's such a nice way to relax and de-stress your skin after a long day, and the smell is ultra calming and soothing. It's a really nice addition to a skincare routine that normally seems quite laborious. You can see the oil getting to work immediately, it lifts the makeup and dirt off my face super quickly! It's removed every drop of makeup that's been on my face after using it - even when I run a pad soaked in toner afterwards there is literally no residual makeup or dirt from the oil cleanser. It's even extremely effective against waterproof mascara - it's so gentle on the eyes and so effective that you just need to sweep the oil over and around your eyelids gently with your fingertips instead of rubbing the eye area thoroughly to remove all traces of makeup. I find that because it's an oil cleanser - there is no 'stripping' of the skin in any way. In fact, instead of stripping the skin of it's oils, it seems to add hydration and moisture after cleansing without the use of any serum or moisturiser. The result? Ultra- clean, calm, hydrated and soft-as-velvet skin. This product is just another one of the high quality items in their range. I love Philosophy because of their 'no-fuss' approach to creating products that do EXACTLY what they say they are going to. In fact in this case the oil cleanser has far exceeded my expectations and has done MORE for my skin than promised. That's why this product deserves 5 stars!

Philosophy Purity made simple is a beautiful soft and gentle face and eye cleanser, quick and easy, great for working ladies (Mums). Prior to using I wondered how effective it really would be as an eye makeup remover, and was so pleasantly surprised that my eye make including my eye liner with little effort. It's also refreshing to use a gently scented cleanser leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth without drying my face, highly recommend you give it a try

The Philosophy Purity made simple mineral oil-free cleansing oil for face and eyes is a great product.  If you are not familiar with oil cleansers then I urge you to try them. They will change your cleansing routine! This Philosophy cleansing oil very gently and easily removes all makeup including waterproof quick as a flash.  To use you just gently dampen your face with a little but of water, and then apply the oil to your face. You can massage it for a little bit if you want, but you dont need to, and then you rinse the oil off. This Philosophy cleansing oil has a thin watery consistency, and removes makeup very gently and leaves my skin feeling baby soft and oil free.  Some of the main pros of this cleansing oil is that it leaves my skin so soft. There is no tight feeling of my skin whatever soever at all. Its perfect to use around the delicate eye area so you wont need to rub and pull in the eye area to remove stubborn eye makeup. Plus it removes everything in one simple step - no need to double cleanse again. This cleansing oil is suitable for all skin types - even oily skin.  I have deducted one star simply for the packaging. This cleansing oil has a flip top lid that you squeeze the oil out of. I prefer cleansing oil (or well any cleanser I use in general) to come with a pump so I dont need to fuss around with it a lot when I just want to take my makeup off at the end of the night.  I would recommend this cleansing oil to others and its once that I will repurchase.
