This product worked wonders for my skin!! It has a gel like consistency that leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.  I focus this product in my T zone where I am prone to blackheads, and it helps to even and smooth out my skin, helping it to absorb my serums effectively.
I apply makeup daily so it is extremely important to ensure that my skin gets cleaned thoroughly. I use the exfoliating face wash once a week or twice a week if I have applied heavy makeup and this product is the bomb. The exfoliating particles feels gentle on skin but does the job without leaving my skin dry. Definitely ticked the boxes for me.
I am beauty, and beauty is me. What I mean by this is quite simple, beauty is everything that makes up my whole being and identity as a female. It is in my blood and I am proud of this, I live, breathe and love beauty and everything that it represents in the world today, it is my career and life and always will be. I am never more happy then when I am trialling and testing and playing around with beauty products, it is my mecca, my happy place. Makeup products are my number one love, but skin care products follow closely behind because without good skin, you can never have good looking makeup, no matter how hard you try or what you use. Therefore I have worked extremely hard to ensure that my skin is the best it can possibly be so my makeup will always look the best possible every time. I do unfortunately have skin that is sensitive, redness and blemish prone, and a bit on the dry side as I get older, but by having a twice daily routine of double cleansing, serum, moisturiser and weekly exfoliation and mask, and working damn hard at it, my skin is the best it has been for a very long time. Not only can I apply makeup with no effort whatsoever, I also now have the confidence to go makeup free at least once or twice a week now and it is the best confidence booster a girl can have, come on, I dare you to give it a go. Good skin starts with double cleansing, and finding that cleanser that is effective, easy to use and rinse off, and gives instant and long lasting results, and any benefits like brightening or exfoliation are just a lovely bonus. I've tried an awful lot of cleansers from different brands over the years, some good, some okay and some very bad, and I definitely know which brands will have products that work for my difficult sensitive/acne prone skin. It needs to be quick, easy to apply and rinse off, hydrating and rich, yet leave no residue or grease, and above all, must not irritate my delicate skin any further. I'm a firm believer in micellar water as my first cleanse and for my second cleanse, I need something rich, creamy, hydrating, and when I saw this Philosophy exfoliating cleanser, I had to give it a go, as Philosophy is a brand I've used and loved before. So after my first cleanse with micellar water, I dispensed a small amount of this into damp hands, lathered up, and gently massaged over my still damp face, paying extra attention to around my nose and mouth and chin, where it gets extra dry and flaky, then removed with a damp muslin cloth, and applied serum and moisturiser to my now very soft and smooth face. I've used it a few more times since that first go, but I will not be using it again, and definitely won't be purchasing it again. Despite the label saying it was a mild exfoliating cleanser, I found it was much too harsh, and is better used as a separate exfoliator once or twice a week, not every day. My skin reacted immediately every time I used it and took a day or two to calm down. I've made the mistake before of using an exfoliating cleanser that said it was gentle enough for every day use, but it is just too much for my poor delicate skin. I still give it a few stars based on my usually good experience with Philosophy, the affordable price and pretty packaging and product names, and the fact that a little goes a long way so it's such good value for money, but I am still going to avoid so called gentle exfoliating daily cleansers, and stick to a chemical liquid exfoliant wiped over my skin once or twice a week. Beauty starts with beautiful skin, achieve this and you will feel the power, confidence and true beauty that flows from within you.
If you like a gritty face scrub, then look no further! I stumbled upon this gem in a Philosophy gift pack a few years ago and I haven’t looked back! It’s such a great, under-rated product that has done wonders for my skin. The name is a little misleading, since it is more of a scrub than a wash. It is best described as a very fine face scrub that is gentle enough for daily use. It helps to refine and resurface this skin, leaving it incredibly smooth and primed to absorb the rest of your skincare routine. It’s also enriched with Vitamin C which helps brighten the skin, and provides a mild citrus scent. Note that it is best used after cleansing, as it does not (and isn’t designed to) remove makeup. Since the exfoliating particles are so small and gritty, it is highly effective and a little goes a long way. With almost daily use, this bottle lasts me for a few months and represents good value. The only pitfall is the packaging. The bottle has a small opening to dispense the product and after using about a third of the wash, the opening tends to get clogged and it can be difficult to get the product out. Other than that, I adore this offering from Philosophy and would recommend.
