8 of the best-smelling body mists for quick refresh
They're back, baby

No matter where we look, our greatest past-loves seem to be having a resurgence. The Victoria's Secret fashion show, The Jonas Brothers, Barbie, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and now, body sprays. Before our favourite spring perfume sat proudly on our drawer, there was a sugar-sweet mist sitting at the bottom of our school bag.
Fast-forward to 2023 and just like our favourite Taylor Swift songs from many moons ago, the body sprays from our youth a making a return — only this time with a few sophisticated and delightful tweaks.
So, for the moments when your hefty glass perfume bottle is a) too bulky for your purse or b) far too luxe for the occasion but you need a little more than your trusty deodorant, it's time to add a body mist back into the rotation.
The formulations might've changed, but the application method certainly has not. And with that, we instruct you to go forth and apply generously.
Moroccanoil Brumes Du Maroc Hair & Body Mist
Please raise a hand if you're guilty of saturating your hair in Moroccanoil just to bathe in the fragrance. Well, we're now typing this with one hand as the other is firmly in the air.
Thankfully Moroccanoil's signature floral and amber scent has been bottled up into an argan oil-rich body and hair mist so you can apply as much as you desire (without overdoing the oil).

Tom Ford Rose Prick All Over Body Spray
Pretty florals just got a bad case of attitude. A potion of potent wild roses like Rose de Mai, and Turkish and Bulgarian blooms too, this rose body mist seems sweet but trust us – she has thorns.
$168 at Myer
Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt Body Mis
Uh what's the difference between a Jo Malone mist and a perfume? A great question! Firstly, the price (these are a more affordable option). Secondly, the scent depth (often you'll find the mist to be a more lightweight alternative, perfect for those with sensitive senses). And finally, the conditioning sheen that each spritz of mist will leave on the skin (an added benefit you won't find in the cologne).
$104 at Jo Malone
Miss Dior Silky Body Mist
You can enjoy the same floral notes as the iconic Miss Dior perfume in a delicate, long-wear body mist form that will hydrate skin as it fragrances. For a more intensified scent, we recommend layering the body spray with the accompanying hair mist or body oil. Divine.
$85 at Myer
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa '40 Body Fragrance Mist
Love to slather your limbs in the brand's famous bum bum cream? Why not try layering your fragrance and body cream picks for a multifaceted take on the iconic fragrance? Enrich the body hydrator with notes of black amber plum, crème de cassis, warm vanilla woods, fresh jasmine blooms and musk in this body mist.
$38 at MECCA
Impulse Body Spray Wanderlust
There's no world in which Impulse wasn't making an appearance in this list. The co-star in most of our fondest teenage memories, Impulse is still delivering intoxicatingly delicious body sprays at prices that very much agree with our bank accounts right now.
$4.80 at Woolworths
The Body Shop Coconut Body Mist
This coconut body mist is going to leave you smelling like a tropical desert in all of the best way. Embrace the delicious scent of fresh coconut and sugar accords. Just be warned – we can’t promise someone won’t want to take a little nibble out of you.
$22 at The Body Shop
Juliette Has A Gun Not a Hair and Body Mist
Who knew a fragrance with only one note could garner such a cult following? Enriched with cetalox (and cetalox alone), this body mist is as clean and crisp as its eau de parfum counterpart. If you consider yourself a minimalist, this one's for you.
