Gigi Hadid says "some Botox could probably help" her

But she won’t be trying it regardless

Gigi Hadid may have been blessed with the face of angel, and a stunning smile to match, but she’s not willing to sacrifice the latter to keep the former what society deems ‘flawless’. Facial creases and wrinkles (especially at her ripe age of 27) are literally just signs of emoting, and um, that’s not a bad thing.

Hadid just explained her thoughts on Botox and here's what she said...

Does Gigi Hadid get Botox?

In a conversation with The Times, Hadid opened up about why she’s not willing to turn to Botox (at least for the time being). “I don’t think I’m the prettiest person in the world. Some Botox could probably help but I’m not so obsessed with caring that I want to do anything about it,” she shared.

While we’d beg to differ on that first point (she’s a literal supermodel), we appreciate her transparent take on the topic. If Hadid decides to sample it later in life, that’s her call, but for now, we must say it's definitely refreshing to see someone in the public eye (and especially in an industry as appearance oriented as modelling) pushing back against the push that women get to turn to tweakments. Like, societal pressure to get Botox in your twenties is ridiculous.

Hadid has definitely done the work to get to this kind of self-acceptance, though. The Next in Fashion star admitted in the same interview that there was definitely a time where she tried to fit right into the narrow box the industry had created for women.

“I was probably harder on my body [in my teens and early twenties] than I should have been,” she shared. “I wasn’t starving myself, but I was very routined. Since then I’ve got into this idea of body neutrality. I love my body for what it has done but I’m not obsessed with it.” Wondering what body neutrality refers to? It’s a state of mind that allows a person to exist in their own body without thinking too much about how it looks.

And while we hope Hadid does eventually get to a point where she’s obsessed with everything about herself, we appreciate that she’s not so obsessed with her looks that she feels the need to change them. It’s a personal choice, of course, but appreciating natural beauty never hurt!

Hadid isn’t the only celeb boycotting Botox. Emily Ratajowski has a reason for not trying it too…
