The Kardashian sisters have long been fans of using wigs and extensions to create show-stopping beauty looks. But, they’ve now taken their love of faux hairpieces to new heights (or should we say lengths?!) with Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner both debuting Rapunzel-worthy ponytails within hours of one another.
Check out their new looks.
While stepping out during Paris Fashion Week, Kim showed off dramatic mid-thigh length ponytail extensions in a glossy brunette tone perfectly matched to her natural hair colour. The sleek look was created by renowned celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton who accessorised Kim’s ponytail with a piece of fabric matched to her mustard latex Balmain outfit.
Kylie went even more extreme with her new hair, donning an extraordinarily long braided ponytail that appears to be even longer than she is tall. Los Angeles-based hairstylist Jesus Guerrero was behind Kylie’s look and used a hairpiece in a shade that complements Kylie’s new honey-blonde locks.
Kylie’s Instagram followers were quick to react to her wild new look with sister Khloe Kardashian commenting: “Don’t ever call me extra again.”
Meanwhile, musician Katy Perry chimed in: “Now that’s some real Sugar Bear witchcraft,” hilariously referencing a hair gummy brand the Kardashians have promoted in the past.
Anyway, we’ll call it right now: Thanks to Kim and Kylie, ultra-long ponytails are set to be this season’s hottest new hair trend. If you’d like to try your hand at the look, we’ve got some recommendations for ponytail extensions that are more wearable than Kim and Kylie’s choices.
LullaBellz Grande Lengths 26” Straight Pony Extensions are a great choice available in a range of colours or for another option that comes in a range of lengths try Zala’s Human Ponytail Clip In Hair Extensions.
