The glorious new short hair look was created by her long-time hairstylist Kristin Ess, who took to Instagram to share a photo of the finished product – in all its tousled perfection.
The blunt chin-length cut was styled with a deep side part and a gorgeous layered, choppy texture. Ess captioned the pic, “Shorter & shorter & shorter. This one…constantly raising the effortless chic bar.”
As for the inspiration behind the dramatic chop, it seems having a cute but practical and easy-to-style haircut is key for the 31-year-old working mum. Lauren told People, “I just cut it off. Honestly, it’s more of a time-saver.”
“I have to blow-dry my hair while my son is napping, and it doesn’t always last long, so less hair is less time. I don’t have time for a lot of hair.”
Lauren’s stylish new bob is providing some *major* hair inspiration. Our prediction? Despite Pinterest naming long hair and pixie cuts as the top hair trends for 2018, we have a feeling that Lauren’s new cut has just put short hair back in the running, too.
