Australian actress and national treasure Nicole Kidman never fails to stun on the red carpet. And, it’s no secret that one of her most striking features is that gorgeous head of strawberry blonde hair.
So, how does she keep it looking so beautifully healthy (and shiny!), despite all the styling it’s no-doubt subjected to during her intense filming schedule?
Turns out Nicole’s hair preparation for a big red carpet event begins the night before, just when she’s heading to bed. She told Vogue that she applies a product named Philip B. Rejuvenating Oil to her locks, leaving it to soak in overnight. Clever.
This little vial of goodness might look plain and unassuming, but it’s packed with loads of hair-loving botanicals like olive fruit, walnut seed, sweet almond, jojoba and lavender oils to penetrate the hair shaft, and heal your strands from the inside out.
As it turns out, celebrity hairstylist Philip Berkovitz actually created the Philip B. hair range with stars like our gal Nic in mind.
Berkovitz told W Magazine that while working in a popular Los Angeles salon with A-lister clientele, he discovered that many actresses coming into the salon had highly-damaged hair due to “constant heat styling, chemical treatments, and color changes for their roles.”
“It sent me on a mission to find truly effective ways to restore moisture to their hair and rebuild it. I had this intuitive sense that nothing could heal the scalp and help grow healthy hair like the nourishment of botanicals."
Thankfully though, the Philip B. range isn’t just exclusively for celebs – these hair goodies are available to even us non-famous types via Mecca in Australia.
