It seems everyone has a hack for how to clean makeup brushes. There’s the mini washing machine toy, the microwave beautyblender trick, and the clever gadget that takes all the effort out of the beauty chore.
But when it comes to drying our now-clean brushes, most of us just lay them down flat on the bathroom counter (you know, because standing them upright in a jar can dissolve the glue). But apparently, there’s a better way.
A Reddit user has come up with a new way to dry makeup brushes that’s nothing short of genius. Honestly, we’re kicking ourselves that we didn’t think of this clever hack ourselves.
Get a load of this:
Yep, that’s a foam pool noodle being used in a way we’ve never seen before.
It appears the creator of this bespoke brush-drying implement has cut slits halfway through the noodle on one side so they can slide their makeup brushes in.
The result? A purpose-built makeup brush drying rack that lovingly cuddles your precious brushes in a foamy hug, allowing them to drip-dry upside-down.
It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing way to dry your makeup brushes, but Reddit didn’t seem to be phased, with one user saying: “Practical will always win over elegance in my apartment”.
