The secrets to bigger, brighter and bolder eyes

Contributor / January 19 2017

Everyone wants big, bright doe eyes, so when genetics don’t quite cut it, you can always turn to trusty makeup.

An excellent product than can help is a lash-enhancing and defining mascara, like Rimmel London Wonder’full Volume Colorist Mascara - one swipe and your eyes are completely converted – but we’ve got a few other tricks up our sleeve that, when paired with mascara, will make a world of difference.

So here are five simple makeup tricks to enhance your eyes, to really make them ‘pop’.

Fun fact: While the Wonder’full Volume Colourist Mascara instantly adds oomph to lashes, it actually also tints over time, meaning on your days off, your lashes will still look defined.

1

Apply eyeliner

Create a winged eyeliner look using Rimmel London’s Colour Precise Liner in black. Start by applying a dot where you want the wing to finish, and then draw the line from the dot towards your lash line. Finish your flick by continuing the application along your upper lash line.

2

Use a nude eyeliner on your bottom waterline

To make your eyes look naturally brighter and more awake, line your bottom waterline with a nude pencil.

TOP TIP: If you don’t have a nude pencil, you can use a white pencil, just make sure you don’t layer it up so that it turns opaque white.

3

Curl your lashes

To really open up your eyes, use a lash curler before applying mascara to add lift and curl to your lashes.

4

Add volume to your lashes

Using Rimmel Wonder’full Volume Colourist Mascara, coat your lashes from root to tip to make sure you’re covering every single lash. This mascara is super volumising and lengthening, so one or two coats is all you need.

Don’t be afraid to apply extra coats if you need, it’s still really easy to take off with a normal makeup remover.

5

Finishing with a highlighter

Finish up by applying a touch of Rimmel London Brow This Way highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes and along your brow bone. This will really make your eyes pop.
