There’s one to suit everybody
While the Met Gala provides a year’s worth of over-the-top glitz and glamour, the MTV Movie & TV Awards made way for some much more fun and relaxed beauty looks. These are our top picks for hair and makeup you need to recreate, from Emma Watson’s pared-back look to Cara Delevingne’s bold berry lip.
One of our ultimate beauty icons, Emma Watson nailed her red carpet look yet again. The actress kept her base, lips and eyes subtle so her dark, brushed up brows could steal centre stage. To recreate this look, opt for a brow mousse or mascara to hold your eyebrow hairs in place while also giving them a little pop of extra colour.
Product pick: Revlon ColorStay Brow Fantasy
The model and singer’s simple hair and makeup allowed her eyeshadow to be the standout. While we’re already converts to purple eyeshadow (because it suits every single eye colour) Hailee gave it a new edgy vibe with her sultry smoky eye. Pair the look with combed up brows and fluttery lashes for a gorgeous and feminine take on a traditional look.
Product pick: Maybelline New York The Rock Nude Eyeshadow Palette
It seems the model and actress can do no wrong – even with a shaved head she looks stunning. Cara’s brown eyeshadow and minimal lashes made her blue eyes stand out, however the real statement piece (apart from her striking lack of hair) was the berry lip. The secret to Cara’s look: adding a subtle flush of colour to the cheeks to prevent the deep lip from washing you out.
Product pick: Rimmel Lasting London Finish by Kate Moss in Anniversary
The Girls and Get Out actress nailed the dewy and glowing makeup look on the red carpet. Allison’s nude lip, soft brows and shimmery bronze and brown eyeshadow were the perfect complement to her blue eyes. Pair this luminous makeup with tousled waves for an understated yet stunning look.
Product pick: Nude by Nature Soft Focus Illuminator
