Forget about that bridal beauty Pinterest board, J.Lo – we’ve got you covered

In case you’ve completely missed the buzz (girl, where have you been?!), former baseball player Alex Rodriguez popped the question to Jennifer Lopez while they were on a romantic beach getaway. Yep MAJOR heart-eye emojis (also, just take a look at the ring).
And while J.Lo is certainly no stranger to getting glammed up to the nines and looking like a million dollars, we already know her wedding day look will top any red carpet event.
While we impatiently wait for that moment, we thought we’d help inspire any of those bride-to-bes out there who are trying to plan their own big-day beauty look.
Because as you’ve no doubt already realised, when it comes to picking the perfect wedding beauty look, knowing where to start and what kind of hair and makeup you’re going to go for is hella confusing. Pretty pink makeup á la Mandy Moore? Barely-there foundation like Meghan Markle? Low ponytail like Anna Heinrich?
Well, we thought we’d make things easier. And who better to inspire your bridal beauty look than the always-flawless, soon-to-be-bride herself. We’ve found some of J.Lo’s best-ever red carpet beauty looks that are perfect for anyone heading down the aisle.
Hollywood waves and blue eyeliner
Excuse us while we catch our breath. This has to be one of J.Lo’s most smouldering beauty looks, yet. At this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party, the singer showed off voluminous curls, a glossy nude lip and a pop of navy blue eyeliner on her lower lash line, making her eyes stand out on a whole other level.
Deep side part and contoured cheekbones
At this year’s Oscars Jennifer absolutely owned the red carpet with her signature golden glow, a super dark smoky eye, glossy nude lip (the perfect bridal lip colour, if you ask us) and contoured cheekbones. But it was her gorgeous hairstyle that really caught our attention. She wore her hair in a deep side part with a gorgeous wave through the ends for a glamorous touch.
Sky-high topknot and pretty pink makeup
We love this pretty fresh-faced beauty look from the Second Act red carpet premiere. The pop star showed off a flush of pink on her cheeks, lips and eyes, perfectly complementing her gown – yep, more is more when it comes to pink makeup. As for her clean-snatched topknot, it’s polished yet totally striking – perfect for keeping your tresses neatly out of the way while you bust a move on the d-floor.
Tousled updo and smoky eye
We love this *entire* look so much. At the 2018 American Music Awards, J.Lo wore her hair styled in a loose, twisted updo – and it looked GOOD. Really good. With loose tendrils softly framing her face, we think this would make for a jaw-dropping bridal hairstyle. On the makeup front, she went for a dark smoky eye, which perfectly contrasted with her soft nude lip and flawless skin.
Long hair extensions and a glowy complexion
There’s long hair and then there’s LONG hair. The singer is no stranger to showing off some floor-grazing numbers on the red carpet, and this would have to be one of our faves – she looks like an *actual* mermaid. Teamed with dramatic faux eyelash extensions and super glowy skin, this look is a serious show-stopper.
Choppy lob and purple eyes
While we love J.Lo’s long hair, there’s just something about this choppy lob and caramel highlights that looks so fresh and stylish. We’re also big fans of her sultry purple smoky eye, which is the perfect colour contrast against her deep brown eyes.
Sleek low ponytail and dramatic lashes
Look at any fashion week runway and you’ll know that the sleek low ponytail is the latest must-have hair trend. Parted in the middle and pulled back in a polished, glossy ponytail, this is one hairstyle that really works to accentuate J.Lo’s jaw-dropping facial features. She teamed the look with oversized faux lashes – the easiest way to draw attention to your peepers.
Romantic high pony and nude lips
At the 2017 Met Gala, Jennifer walked the red carpet wearing a stunning high ponytail. Pulled back tight and away from her face, the lengths were styled in soft, romantic waves. As for her makeup, she wore a sharp cat-eye and a ‘90s-style nude lip look. Nailed it.
