The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards are officially here, and the red carpet beauty looks did not disappoint. Wild, insanely pretty and downright bizarre, we have a mixed bag of fresh inspo coming your way, courtesy of your favourite celebs.
Check out some of the most screenshot-worthy beauty looks.
She’s baaack! Cardi B made her first public appearance since giving birth to her daughter, debuting a new pixie crop. Sophisticated and sexy, we think it frames her face perfectly. She teamed her fresh chop with her signature bejewelled manicure, winged liner and purple shadow on her lower lash line. The splash of colour contrasts beautifully with her gold smoky eyeshadow to accentuate her brown eyes.
Guys, Rita Ora’s eyeliner game is Next. Level. She switched up the classic feline flick for a graphic design that stretched from the outer corner of her eyes to her temples. It’s kind of like a different take on the face gems trend and we absolutely love it! She added some wet-look waves, thick lashes and – yep, we’re sold.
The School Dance actress wore the coolest, vampiest lip and she looks like a goddamn Halloween dream. She opted for a matte oxblood lipstick, moody metallic eyeshadow, jet-black lashes and quite possibly the most dramatic/sleek-as-heck topknot we’ve seen in a long time.
The singer gave Cardi B a run for her money with a killer set of dramatic fake lashes, teamed with a bronzed smoky eye and contoured cheeks. But it was J.Lo’s stunning long, golden locks, worn loose with a slight wave, that took centre stage. There’s no doubt the singer knows how to make a statement – ICYMI, she wore actual $100 notes on her nails earlier this year at the Billboard Music Awards! Goals.
Do those hair wisps look familiar to you? We never quite thought we’d see this hair trend come back, but Iggy somehow makes it look good! She took to the red carpet sporting ‘90s-inspired hair wisps, silver metallic eyes and pink glossy lips. SO damn nostalgic right now.
Um, is it just us or is Shanina Shaik’s hair actual perfection? The Aussie Victoria’s Secret model looked like actual #hairgoals, styling her long tresses in loose curls, that were swept over one shoulder. On the makeup front, she opted for a brown smoky eye, winged eyeliner and a pink pout.
Looking ultra-sophisticated with a sleek, low bun, the beauty mogul wore a matte, fresh-faced makeup look. While it’s one of the more minimalistic makeup looks we’ve seen from Kylie, we love a good neutral makeup look and she pulls it off like a total boss.
Olivia Munn let her eyes do the talking, adding a splash of colour to an otherwise natural-looking makeup look. Her lilac eyeshadow was blended over her upper and lower lids, drawing attention to her brown eyes, while her polished brows framed her face.
One word: Futuristic. Orange Is The New Black's Dascha Polanco looks like she’s from a completely different planet, with quite possibly the most extra eye makeup of the night. Her silver eyeshadow stole the show and was blended over her brows and out towards her temples for a statement look.
