The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards are underway this evening and the world’s hottest celebrities are out in force for music’s night of nights. Click through our gallery to check out our favourite hair and makeup looks from the likes of Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé.
Beyoncé opted for a toned down bronze makeup look to balance out her bold outfit choice. We also love the singer’s intricate braid that’s business at the front and party at the back.
We’re sensing a new trend might be unfolding at this year’s awards if Kim Kardashian’s wet hair look is anything to go by. The reality star combined the ‘just showered’ look with her go-to nude lips and long lashes.
Ok we’re calling it, wet looking hair is the trend to try this season. Zara Larsson was another celeb who opted for this shower-and-go look. The singer teamed her slicked back ‘do with a super clean and glowing makeup look that we can’t get enough of.
It seems as though Ariana Grande is still a fan of her signature high ponytail, this time lightly crimping the side of the tail. The singer also kept her makeup classic with a simple cat eye and glossy nude lips.
The British supermodel stunned on the white carpet with glowing skin, long fluttery lashes and a glittery red lip that we’re sure sparkles from every angle.
Taylor was ultimate lazy-girl hair goals styling her tresses into a simple topknot with bundles of fly-aways. The model then opted for a dramatic eye makeup look with metallic and black shadows.

The singer teamed long textured waves with a natural looking base, shimmery eyes and a deep plum lip colour.
