The 71st Emmy Awards have kicked off in Los Angeles and your favourite stars have been stepping out onto the red carpet in some seriously stunning hair and makeup looks for television’s night of nights. From Mandy Moore’s classic glam to Zendaya’s Poison Ivy-inspired vibes, there’s no shortage of glorious new beauty inspo to take in.
Here are some of the best beauty looks from the 2019 Emmy Awards:
Mandy Moore was a total glamazon on the red carpet with this diva-worthy beauty look featuring sultry smoky eyes and one of the best blowouts we’ve ever seen. Seriously, look at all that volume and those perfectly coiffed waves!
Hollywood darling Naomi Watts oozed elegance with her bold red lip and sleek blow-out combo. A subtle wave at the front of her hair added shape and interest while the rest of her locks were pushed back behind her ear, keeping the look super sharp. Gorg!
When it comes to red carpet beauty, it seems Jameela Jamil can do no wrong. The British actress and The Good Place star looked exquisite with long, flowing locks and an orangey-red lipstick despite being on an IV drip just hours prior thanks to a nasty bout of gastritis. Plus, Jameela even did her makeup herself! Strong recovery, Jameela!
Like her big sister Kim, model Kendall Jenner went for a nude lip and smoky eye combo with lashings of black mascara to add extra definition to her eyes. She wore her hair slicked back in a ballerina bun. Very stylish.
Zendaya totally slayed the Emmys while serving Poison Ivy vibes with this gorgeous beauty look. From her red-tinted hair that was styled in loose waves with a deep side parting to the swipe of gloss on her lips, Zendaya looked like a total red carpet queen.
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke surprised us all when she stepped out on the red carpet sporting new Rapunzel-worthy lengths instead of her usual cropped bob. And we love this new look for her! She kept her makeup pretty simple, opting for nude-tones and a flick of black winged eyeliner.
In a move that *none* of us saw coming, Maisie Williams has officially ditched her beloved pink hair! The Game of Thrones star unveiled a new brunette micro bob at the Emmys and we have to say, we’re digging this new hairstyle. Paired with peachy, glowing cheeks and a subtle smoky eye, Maisie looked very sophisticated and all grown-up.
Pose star Indya Moore smouldered on the red carpet in this jaw-droppingly gorgeous glowed-up beauty look. Rocking natural curls and the prettiest gilded eye makeup, we are head over heels for this look.
Dominican/American Orange Is The New Black actress Dascha Polanco took to the Emmys red carpet in this ultra-glam beauty look, featuring silvery eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, glossy lips, and - what we’re calling the hottest celeb hairstyle trend of now – a sky-high ponytail with a hair-wrapped band. Check out our story on the other celebs who have been rocking this updo of late, plus how you can get the look.
Killing Eve actress Sandra Oh whipped out this dramatic textured bun look and we think it’s just so fun! To keep it from looking OTT, she’s played down her makeup, opting for subtle pink tones.
Sharp Objects actress Amy Adams stunned on the red carpet with this natural, glowing beauty look that heroed fresh skin and nude lips. But our favourite part of her look? Her gorgeous fishtail braid that she finished off with a black ribbon – very elegant.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus looked as pretty as a picture in this feminine beauty look with half-up/half-down hair. Although she opted for heavily contoured eye makeup, a glimmer of silvery eyeshadow at the inner corners of her eyes brightened the look.
Killing Eve star Jodie Comer graced the red carpet in one heavenly beauty look with radiant skin, fluttery lashes and pinky-nude lips. In fact, you could say she looked like a total angel - which is somewhat ironic, as Jodie collected her first Emmy win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as psychopathic assassin Villanelle.
Christina Applegate fronted up to the Emmys with golden blonde beach waves, peachy cheeks and statement hot pink lips. In fact, we’d really love to know what shade that is ‘cause gosh, it’s pretty. Please spill, Christina!
Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie winner Michelle Williams showed off her signature icy platinum blonde hair in an incredibly chic wavy bob. Paired with muted neutral makeup and a barely-there nude lip, Michelle’s look was the epitome of red carpet beauty at its best.
